- As a Senior Technical Architect for the Health and Civil Business Unit of SRA International, I am responsible for defining the strategic architecture for the client programs, and mentoring and leading the development teams in achieving the implementation of the desired architecture. In my current engagement with DARRTS program for the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), I am leading a team of Solution Analysts, Development Leads, Architects, and QA teams in implementing, maintaining and enhancing the technical solutions for the FDA DARRTS program. This program is responsible for implementing technology solutions for regulatory review and management of Drug and Device approval applications. In this role, I work with the FDA architects, business stakeholders and our internal development leads to identify technical solutions for meeting business requirements, overseeing development activities, and leading the evolution of FDA Enterprise Architecture to meet the strategic goals set for the FDA centers. Some of the recent accomplishments in this role included: * Led successful delivery of one major and 10 minor release implementations for the DARRTS applications to implement new business processes and enhance existing ones. * Successfully led a research and development initiative to evaluate and recommend the next generation of application development technologies for the FDA CDER center's applications consisting of Oracle Application Development Framework and Oracle SOA Suite. The target architecture has been approved by FDA Enterprise Architecture and is currently going through funding phases. * In support of the FDA's effort to migrate to a new Data Center as part of their private cloud initiative, successfully led the implementation of DARRTS applications and system to the new data center. * Enhanced the development processes by introducing a Continuous Integration phase based on the open source 'Hudson' engine. This continuous integration process helps improve the quality of the deliverables by running automated tests, performing standards check, and inspecting the code for stability problems. * Currently engaged with the FDA Architects and Business Process owners for defining the functional and technical designs of the next generation of applications for the DARRTS program.

- As the Lead Product Architect for Oracle E-Business Suite of products, I supported the transformation of Schneider National's business processes to Oracle Solutions by leading the implementation, customizations, and integration of Oracle E-Business Suite applications through multiple projects spanning over three years. Major responsibilities and accomplishments in this role included: * Led a large team comprising of Solution Analysts, Tech Leads and Developers to gather and analyze business requirements, and implement them in Oracle EBS applications using a combination of out of the box processes, customizations, new development and integrations with other products. * Worked closely with the Enterprise Architects, Solution Analysts and Business Leads to ensure that proposed solutions were in alignment with end state Enterprise Architecture and strategic direction for the product. * During the course of this multi-year project, led the delivery of many core EBS Applications for HR and Finance business areas (examples: HR, Benefits, iRecruitment, Payables, Receivables, General Ledger, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, iSupplier etc,) along with over 50 integration solutions between EBS and other homegrown and Oracle applications, and over 100 new custom components. These solutions were delivered using various technology stacks including SOA and non-SOA integrations, Oracle Process Integration Packs (PIPs), PLSQL based programs, J2EE/Oracle Application Framework based web applications, Oracle Workflow based processes and XML Publisher based reports. * Collaborated with the Infrastructure Architects to define and implement the initial architecture blueprint for EBS implementation. Also did extensive work with the Infrastructure team to implement a monitoring framework centered on "Oracle Enterprise Manager" (OEM) for ongoing monitoring of application health, and usage analysis for capacity planning. * Worked with the DBA and Infrastructure teams as well as the Enterprise Support team to identify, define and enable processes, methods and tools for problem resolution and general support. * Led the definition and implementation of "Performance Testing Processes" for EBS suite of applications with ongoing oversight of performance analysis activities for existing processes as well as all new development. Responsibilities also included reviewing the progress of QA team to ensure sufficient coverage of application processes in testing efforts and directing resolution of issues and problem areas. *Led the design and development of "Deployment Processes and Tools" for version controlling and automating the deployment of EBS artifacts. This custom solution used a Java based GUI, Perl based execution engine and APEX (Oracle Application Express) based reporting and logging tool with an Oracle database instance supporting the entire process and the open source SubVersion product for integration of version control. * Defined, documented and rolled out Development Standards for all stacks of EBS including OAF/Java solutions, Workflows, Personalizations and SOA integrations between EBS and other applications. Responsibilities included ensuring governance of these standards through mentoring and reviews as well as leading the evolution of best practices and standards in light of new experiences. * Responsibilities also included working closely with Project Management group, Infrastructure Architects and other Product Leads to plan releases and projects, define and adjust Environment Strategies, define release methodology, and manage resources for the ongoing releases. Led the Foundation Security and Access Solutions Team that was responsible for providing Access Management solutions and provisioning user Security for internally developed J2EE and desktop applications, as well as integrating with 3rd party applications hosted internally or externally. Major accomplishments in this position include the following: * Enabled Single-Sign-On Integration for Schneider's Web-Based ASP applications with websites of external customers, allowing external users to access authorized Schneider applications from within their websites. The solution was based on Servlets, SSL WebServices, EJBs, DB2 database, and ClearTrust access management product. * Enhanced Security Framework and Common Security Services for internal applications enabling their integration with the Central Access Management System (ClearTrust) and providing 'Role Based' authorization control for functions within the applications. * Led the development of a Web Based Application solution that implemented a streamlined User Management Process allowing the association of 'Job Title' of a user with roles within individual applications. The process enabled automation of User Management process throughout the lifecycle of an enterprise user from hiring to termination. The solution comprised of a J2EE/JSF web application built using DB2 database, EJBs, and ClearTrust Access Management System. * Implemented a COGNOS based Auditing and Reporting Tool capable of providing Custom Reports on Customer and User setups in Access Management Systems, as well as statistics on their usage of individual applications. The solution was built using J2EE App Clients, EJBs, DB2 database, ClearTrust access management system and COGNOS. These usage statistics enabled viewing and auditing of Security set ups, as well as ability to charge clients based on their usage of the system. * Implemented a Delegated Administration Tool for external customers by developing a JSP/Servlet based Web Application allowing external Customer Admins to manage privileges of their users themselves, thus significantly reducing Schneider's Support Overhead. Application was based on JSP/Servlet, EJB, DB2, and ClearTrust. As a member of the Common Foundation Services, I was responsible for defining the architecture of common components and services for application development, as well as implementation of foundation level common services and applications using Java, C++, and Cobol. Major accomplishments include the following:* Implemented a Common User Preferences Service for J2EE based internal applications allowing them to associate application level preferences with security profiles of the users, using DB2 as the persistence store and ClearTrust as its User Repository. * Participated in the implementation of a central 'Distance and Geography' system for Schneider's applications, servicing their geography look up, geo-coding, and route calculation needs via common APIs implemented in Java, C++ and Cobol. * Led the development of a Web Based J2EE Application for administration of Geography Data in Schneider's Databases and calculation of Routes using third party Distance Applications. * Implemented a Distance Estimator Application allowing up to 4 million North American route estimates per minute for Schneider's Network Value Engine used for optimizing Logistics Costs. * Defined and developed a process for automatic normalization of Geography Data purchased from external vendors before it got added to Schneider's DB2 and Datacom Geography Databases. Automation of update process allowed more efficient and more frequent updates of Geography Data thus directly reducing the costs arising from inaccuracies as well as manual efforts involved in data processing.
