Provide support for delivery of active design projects under DPW contract, by assisting local and off-island consultants with maintaining the quality, schedule, and budget parameters expected from DPW. Tasks include functioning as lead reviewer of milestone Plan, Specification & Estimate (PS&E) packages submitted by designers; semi-monthly compiling, updating, and reviewing the design component of the DPW/FHWA TTIP project status with the DPW Chief Engineer and staff; supporting DPW Right-of-Way (R/W) staff for design projects requiring property acquisitions; developing master pay item list and tracking contractor bid data; providing plan review/construction support as requested for private-funded modifications to DPW roadways.
- Generated preliminary layouts and engineer's cost estimates as contracted by DPW, such as for Tiyan Parkway Alignment Analysis (over 2 miles of new 5-lane arterial roadway), and for Routes 1/8 Agana Bridges Design-Build (1/4-mile of 6-lane urban arterial reconstruction). Provided timely construction support for PB-designed projects expedited at the outset of Islandwide Program Management Services contract with DPW, including: Route 4 Resurfacing (over 3 miles of 5-lane arterial 3R), Routes 8/10/16 Intersection Improvements (1/2- mile of 5-lane urban arterial reconstruction), and Route 7A Rehabilitation (2/3-mile of 4-lane urban arterial reconstruction). - Colorado State Highway (SH) 7 and Washington Street Reconstruction and Widening (Larkridge Retail Development), Thornton, CO: assisted with preparation of roadway and utility improvement plans for over a mile of Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and City of Thornton 4 to 6-lane arterials, respectively, to accommodate ultimate build-out traffic from the adjacent 240-acre outdoor and retail shopping/dining complex. Critical design element featured providing interchange setback requirements for adjacent land development project, to accommodate future CDOT design/construction of cloverleaf loop on-ramp, as part of improvements to the nearby Interstate 25 interchange.
- 29th Avenue Roadway and Utility Improvements (Stapleton Redevelopment), Denver, Colorado: prepared roadway improvement plans and assisted with utility plans for almost a mile of 29th Avenue, one of the first urban collector roadways designed as part of the 4,700-acre mixed-use, master planned redevelopment of the former Stapleton Airport property.
