Highlights
- - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona, CA, December 2018 - Associate Degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering at Skyline College, CA, May 2015. - Associate Degree in Engineering at College of San Mateo, CA, May 2015. - Obtained multiple Deans List in my community college years. - One Scholarship Award at College of San Mateo Community College. Activities and Honors - Senior Project: Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle - Initial plan to pair Adams software with Simulink to simulate control but scope was reduced due to time constraint and internal team issue. However, I learned more in developing a mathematical model that can be used to dynamically simulate to determine appropriate gain of the system. The project turned into more of a group research project. We were able to make a scale down version of the vehicle. - Mechanical Design Course: Bionic Arm - Purposed to toss tennis ball and play the piano; focused in developing the electrical actuation system and release mechanism. However, there were many challenges especially the reliability of the wires in the fingers in keep proper tension and the release mechanism with the torsional springs. Assembling the parts was also another difficulty because we have not account of proper tolerancing. It was a complete failure as even though it failed, the mechanism worked a little such as being able to move the fingers and was able to toss the ball at a very short distance. - Mechatronic Course: Bionic Arm -Designed a glove to control a bionic hand wirelessly with haptic feedback; also used for a graduate student's VR system and was later used to try developing pneumatic haptic feedback with MR fluid. There was a lot more complications and challenges in this project such as limitation in wireless communication between two Arduino microcontrollers and design flaws. However, this is a project still worth going back to and still much to learn. - Sub-Team Structural and Material Lead Air Braking System, UMBRA Rocketry Club - Researched and decided on material for ABS components and performed a stress analysis of sidewall at the flaps for buckling.- Performed calculations to find center-of-mass for the electrical component's housing- Rocket was launched without ABS due to failure of servo motors. However, I learned to make carbon fiber rocket tubes, applied mechanical engineering knowledge and performed challenging task that helped me gain new knowledge. The electrical embedded system can be more solidify with actual PCB boards rather than prototype boards to improve reliability. - ASME Member
