Professional Summary

Kelly embarked on her career in 1990 when a scout from Murdoch Magazines asked her to join Mirabella as its Photography Producer. She went on to produce 100s of photography shoots for Mirabella (Murdoch, 1990-1995), an over-sized fashion, beauty and lifestyle tabloid with former editor-in-chief of Vogue, Grace Mirabella, at the helm. After the sale of Mirabella in 1995, many key editors moved to Condé Nast's House & Garden for the magazine's relaunch in 1996. Kelly joined the House & Garden team as its Photo Production Director (Condé Nast Publications, 1995-2001). In 2001, she was handpicked to become Managing Editor of HomeStyle magazine (G+J USA, 2001-2002) and when that magazine folded, Kelly was the only employee retained by the publishing company. Before becoming Managing Editor of Inc. magazine in 2002 for that same publishing company, she served as Editor-in-Chief of G&J Presents' "Elvis, Then & Now" which led to appearances on national TV including Good Morning America. Four years later she was promoted to Vice President of Business Resources and Events for Inc. and Fast Company magazines, now under new ownership by CEO of Morningstar, Joe Mansueto. Kelly was instrumental in the sale of the two publications to Mansueto and was on the acquisition steering committee, ensuring IT, editorial, publishing, integrated creative services, production, circulation and print and other vendor partners were secured. For the first time under Kelly's leadership, the prestigious Inc. 5000 Conference turned a profit of $1 million. Her next employer, The YGS Group, moved her to Lancaster, PA to launch the company's Events division. Three months into the new post, she was asked to lead the company's Content Sales & Licensing team, managing a profitable $11 million P&L. In 2013, Kelly launched The YGS Group's Editorial Services division, the copy/content arm of YGS's in-house agency. As VP of Editorial Services, she led an editorial team that launched, redesigned and managed the day-to-day operations of more than 20 association magazines, winning a number of industry Excel awards, including Best Redesign and Feature Writing. In 2015, she returned to New York City as the Managing Editor of Galerie magazine, a start-up publication looking to establish its business. When she was promoted to General Manager/Managing Editor of the new media (Galerie magazine and galeriemagazine.com), Kelly oversaw all aspects of the launch business: editorial, production,, circulation, distribution, public relations, vendor procurement/negotiation, staffing, payroll, accounting and sales commissions, and P&L management. Prior to arriving to Alpha Dog Advertising, Kelly worked in Public Relations for White Good, a Lancaster, PA-based agency. Kelly represented the National Kitchen & Bath Association and its premiere event, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). Kelly is now the Public Relations Director of Lancaster, PA-based Alpha Dog Advertising. She launched the new division for the agency December 2019. Her many roles have prepared Kelly to excel in strategic leadership position for a progressive, entrepreneurial, and innovative company looking to employ top talent, assemble world-class teams, and thrive in today's evolving marketplace. - Revenue development - Product and service development - Spokesperson experience - Media trained - Content marketing - Social media - Strategic planning - Photo and video production Public Relations Director, 12/2019 - Current Cutline - New York, NY
