- Social media management
- Created hospital's first online news site, The Pulse, to speak directly to our primary and outreach costumers, doubling the number of unique visitors to our website, WyomingMedical Center.org. The Pulse was recognized nationally, winning a 2015 gold medal in the Aster Awards, recognizing excellence in medical marketing in the United States, Canada and South America. Fathom, a national digital marketing firm, recruited me to lead a 45- minute webinar about hospital blogging based on the success of The Pulse. The blog is now the centerpiece of Wyoming Medical Center's marketing strategy, driving our print and online advertising, social media campaigns, a quarterly magazine and employee engagement efforts.
- Rolled out new hospital tagline and logo, "Built Around You," with marketing campaigns targeting employees, patients and stakeholders. Revised hospital brochures, policies, forms and other publications to fit with our new brand standards.
- Managed social media platforms with combined total of 10,000 followers.
- Built a positive relationship with local and statewide media outlets, resulting in 30-plus positive WMC mentions in outside news sources per quarter. When I took over public relations in May 2013, the hospital was just coming off a whistle-blower lawsuit that negatively affected our public perception. In our latest perception survey of Natrona County residents, conducted by Sigma Group, 93 percent of respondents reported seeing a positive story about the hospital while only 4 percent reported seeing a negative story.
- Performed in-depth research to write clear and accurate press releases, patient and employee stories, white papers, executive speeches and internal communications on a variety of topics.
- Fielded media inquiries for television, radio and print publications. Crafted crisis management messaging, including an active shooter incident, to provide clear, accurate information to the public and employees while protecting organizational goals and vision. Experience in Incident Command as the hospital's Public Information Officer.
