Quite challenging but very effective. Once development was completed I would then replace the prototype with final photos for GROCO's catalog, web blasts for distributors, sales reps, and major boat builders worldwide. GROCO is a well established provider of quality, reliable, well respected under the hull marine products. It was an honor to be a part of that team for many years, and the experiences I accumulated during that time are priceless.

- Pre-press and design is what I believe to be my forte, after years of this, I am competent at creating something on short notice, and over the last 20 years was required to work without assistance, from concept to completion, be it web release or print media of all types. Once at GROCO, digital pre-press and design led to web design and establishing their initial web site (they are a business that has been established since 1918), with a spectacular history in the marine industry and are internationally known. Working for them was fascinating, different and always challenging, from setting up for trade shows, establishing marketing materials for shows and yearly sales, designing packaging materials, designing labels for products, and helping with customer service. Gross Mechanical Labs., Inc.
- While employed at Gross Mechanical Labs., aka GROCO, I had several positions, both by necessity and also because smaller organizations (approx 50 employees), means wearing different hats as needed. Originally hired to staff the art department, I was employed to update their basic Web Page, include product photos (over 500 items), and establish web sales of products and parts. Also, I was responsible for their yearly catalog, all updates, and distribution throughout the world. Responsible for creating new "cut sheets" for products developed, and for designing and maintaining their Service Info and service manual, originally hard copy, then all transferred to PDFs, available thru the web site to make them downloadable, as th world progressed from 2001 up to 2020. This position also entailed meeting with our sales reps from around the world, helping distributors, OEMs, and end users of our marine products with service, marketing materials or technical assistance in the way of product service information and providing the appropriate service technician to help more in-depth problems. Sometimes this could be for product development of marine specific equipment that we could provide to fit a particular application, or simply end user technical advice.
- All ads that were developed and printed multiple times yearly from concept to end print were additionally my responsibility as well as coordinating all of the logisitics, and plans.
- Once this was all established, I was then required to move into the customer service department, helping with phones and screening calls to their appropriate source, receiving, entering and processing orders for as much as 300K, including payment processing, shipping details and any aspect surrounding materials requiring special handling. All in addition to fulfilling the above requirements, although we had outsourced the web development to grow our business. I was only required to provide materials to the web team to keep us up to date.
